Whilst we were on-site completing the Regional NSW Telstra Mobile Voice & Data Network the request came through from the NSW Government for Essential Communications Services to solve the issues that their office was having with their communications.
As we were on a large project, we had extra equipment with us in case of either break downs or “changes of mind”, which often happens.
The fix for this office was therefore rather simple. We had on hand an Omni 3G+4G+4GX Antenna 700-2700MHz for their mobile voice and a Telco XPOL 16dBi Antenna – 700-900MHz for their internet services.
As this is a very large roads project that will be continuing for a number of years, the office on-site needed to be able to communicate quickly with their offices in Batemans Bay, Wollongong and Sydney. For this to happen, they needed to be able to have 4GX Mobile Broadband and clear voice communications.
We mounted the Telco XPOL 16dBi Antenna – 700-900MHz under the Omni antenna, pointed to the same Telstra Mobile tower. We then were able to integrate this antenna to their existing router which, as it had been contained within a metal donger (building) had not been receiving any signal.
Once the installation was completed, the staff were able to connect directly to their main offices without having to use their mobile phones as “hotspots”, leaving the main office door open to garner even a small sliver of signal, or many of the other options they had tried to get connectivity.
If you have a communications & telecommunications infrastructure challenge please do not hesitate to get in touch with Essential Communications Services, it would be our pleasure to be of assistance to you anywhere in Australia.
